KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 03) -- Stocks in Singapore and Malaysia rose Wednesday, as a weaker U.S. dollar and record-high S&P 500 Index boosted investors' risk appetite.
Singapore's Straits Times Index advanced 1% to 3,464.28, and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index added 0.6% to close at 1,792.79.
