A full court press and defensive stops, combined with clutch shots on offense cut Piner’s lead to two with three minutes left in Friday’s nonleague game.

The young Saints squad battled the entire game against heavy pressure from Piner.
Ethan Battistini had 18 points and five rebounds, Christian Iano had eight points, Olie Russum had seven points, Collin Darrall had six points and two assists, Ryan Rockwood had five points, three rebounds and three assists, and Nick Jewerowski had six points and five rebounds.

John Nessman had 10 points and connected on three 3-pointers.
Liam McDevitt had 10 points, four assists and three steals.
The Braves jumped out to an early 14-7 lead in the first quarter behind some good ball movement and the sharp shooting of Nessman, a senior forward, who was 3-of-5 from three-point distance.
The Mavericks cut the lead down to three midway through the third quarter.
But with Vaziri, a senior forward, cleaning up the glass all night and coming up with some key baskets down the stretch, Justin-Siena was able to secure its first win of the season.
