The Swiss franc weakened against most major currencies in the pre-European session on Monday.
The Swiss franc fell to a 5-day low of 0.9646 against the U.S. dollar and a 4-day low of 1.2583 against the pound, from Friday's closing quotes of 0.9601 and 1.2534, respectively.
Against the euro, the franc edged down to 1.0876 from an early high of 1.0855. This may be compared to an early 6-day low of 1.0878.
If the Swiss franc extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 0.98 against the greenback, 1.30 against the pound and 1.09 against the euro.
